From nearly $19 million to be spent as the city enters the fourth year of work on the $33 million wastewater treatment plant project to beginning a $1.1 million trail hub project at Jackson’s Landing park, the term “capital improvements” will take on a hefty meaning this next fiscal year.
On Tuesday, the Greenville City Council held a special meeting to review the proposed Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget for fiscal year 2024-2025, where a total of $22.5 million is projected to be spent on various projects throughout the city.

Montcalm County officials may look into creating a weapons policy after a county employee was found to be carrying a pistol in a county vehicle.
