After packing the lunches of her three children Tuesday morning, Maricela Pulido knew the first day of school for each of them would be an emotional experience.
With two high schoolers and an elementary school student walking out the door, Pulido had the additional responsibility of making sure each child was also prepared to attend school in Belding with numerous restrictions in place due to the coronavirus pandemic, such as wearing a face mask.
