‘The trees were too small’

On Monday morning, from inside her store at Colonial Treasures Workshop in downtown Greenville, Martha Perkins watched with excitement as the new replacement trees along Lafayette Street were being planted. 

However, that excitement quickly turned to confusion as Perkins watched the first tree that went in be removed just as quickly as it went into the ground.
