In a split vote, the Odessa Township Board on Sept. 8 rejected an offer by the Jordan Lake Trail Board that might have finally ended a dispute over nearly $10,000 that trail board members claim the township has wrongly withheld. The township board voted, 3-2, to defeat a motion that would have ended the dispute by having the township pay half of the more than $9,900 it has withheld from the JTLB, reportedly to pay for legal and title fees incurred by the township.
