Montcalm County officials continue discussing Admin Building security

Montcalm County officials continued discussing how to make their administrative building more secure, but stopped short of following the controller-administrator’s recommendation to take away the keys from two local political groups that meet there.

The Montcalm County Board of Commissioners voted to table the topic of building security during their Dec. 5 meeting until a future meeting. The discussion of how to make the Administrative Building more secure began in early October as the issue repeatedly comes up during county department head meetings, but no official action has taken place yet.
