A request to rezone a previously forested, clear-cut parcel of 14 acres to create a manufactured housing community has been voted down by township planners, leaving the fate of the property in question. During Tuesday’s Oakfield Township Planning Commission meeting, commissioners voted unanimously to recommend to the Oakfield Township Board the denial of a request to rezone four properties along the northeast corner of 14 Mile Road (M-57) and Lincoln Lake Avenue NE from residential to manufactured housing community (MHC).
