WINFIELD TOWNSHIP – The Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office says there is no danger to the public after a Winfield Township man was shot over the weekend.

A 22-year-old Winfield Township man showed up early Sunday morning at Corewell Health Greenville Hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to Sheriff Mike Williams.

The sheriff said his office is still working to determine where the shooting took place.

“There is no concern for public safety,” Williams said, declining to elaborate further at this time citing an ongoing investigation.
