Record-breaking Montcalm County 4-H livestock auction tops half-million in sales 

For the first time in the history of the Montcalm County Fair, buyers showed their support by breaking the half-million-dollar mark during Thursday evening’s annual livestock auction. By the time the nearly six-hour event concluded, $522,225 had been raised through the sale of 349 entries — more than $36,000 higher than the $486,000 sale total a year ago.
