As Belding High School’s varsity football team prepared to take the field on a crisp, late summer evening, there was no shortage of excitement on hand within the confines of Rudness Field. With the marching band playing the fight song as cheerleaders unfurled a giant “Black Knights” banner on the field, the setting for Friday night football had officially begun.
