Voters in the Portland Public Schools district, which includes parts of Ionia and Clinton counties, overwhelmingly approved a bond proposal Tuesday. Voters in Ionia County approved it 1,228 to 894, a difference of 334 votes. Meanwhile, voters in Clinton County voted 149 to 141 in favor of the proposal, a difference of only nine votes. This brings the total vote in favor to 1,377 and opposed to 1,035, a total difference of 342 votes.
