PIERSON TOWNSHIP — The Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a trailer which was stolen from a job site near Big Whitefish Lake in Pierson Township.

The trailer was stolen sometime Monday night or early Tuesday morning from a location in the 1000 block of Lake Street.

The white, enclosed trailer is described as a 14 foot, “v-nosed” with the letters “TMBR” on either side.

Debra Feyen posted about the stolen trailer on Facebook, writing, “We are building a new garage on Big Whitefish Lake near the boat landing. Christmas Eve, the tool trailer was broken into and our young contractor’s tools were taken. Since then we ordered security cameras but they were not yet installed. Last night (Dec. 29) someone came and took the entire trailer. Our builder is a three-man operation and this is devastating to him. Currently the project is at a halt. Please PM us any information.”

The Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance from the public in attempting to locate the trailer and asking nearby residents with security systems to check their footage for any suspicious persons or activity.  Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (989) 831-7590.
