The Friends of the Fred Meijer Heartland Trail announces their annual fundraiser with a twist. Instead of a dinner banquet, the volunteer trail group is planning a Party at the Pavilion next to the trail at 544 Forrest St. in Edmore. The event will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 8. All current members, new members and supporters are invited for a family-friendly afternoon of free hot dogs (sponsored and grilled by The Stump Guy), live music, door prizes, trail merchandise and the traditional raffle drawing. An optional ride or walk on the trail will conclude the party.
