The Montcalm Economic Alliance (MEA) has a new executive director after a six-month vacancy. Dayna Neff began her new job in March, however, the news wasn’t publicly announced until Monday’s Montcalm County Board of Commissioners meeting. The Right Place, a regional economic development organization based in Grand Rapids which partners with the MEA, posted a press release online in late April about Neff’s hire, but the Daily News was not sent a copy of the announcement. Neff succeeds Jakob Bigard, who was hired as the MEA director in January 2024 and resigned in October 2024.
