The Montcalm County treasurer is planning to step down one year into her most recently elected four-year term. JoAnne Vukin, 72, of Pierson Township has worked for the county 24 years, the last 14 as the elected treasurer. She announced on Tuesday that she plans to retire effective Dec. 31 after being elected to her fourth term in last year’s elections.
