A Montcalm County committee recommended awarding $40,000 in grants for three local projects, and also recommended appointing a new committee member. The Community Advancement Committee met on Wednesday to review requests and make recommendations for awarding for the group’s second round of grants using interest from a $2 million endowment created by the county Board of Commissioners last year.
