MCC board approves $8.5M bond for student housing project

Three-story, 84-bed residence hall would be constructed on Sidney campus, to open fall of 2026

In a final step before shovels strike the ground next year, funding for Montcalm Community College’s first student housing residence hall has been approved by the college’s governing board. The MCC Board voted unanimously Monday, with Trustee Esther Combs absent, to secure a bond not to exceed $8.5 million dollars, with an interest rate not to exceed 5.5%.
