Local tree bound for White House

White House Christmas Tree selected at Korson’s Tree Farms in Sidney

For the first time in four decades, this year’s White House Christmas tree will be delivered from the state of Michigan — cultivated and grown on a rural evergreen tree farm in the heart of Montcalm County. On Tuesday, Korson’s Tree Farms, the 1,300-acre, second-generation tree farm on Nevins Road just northwest of Sidney, welcomed a visit from Dale Haney, chief groundskeeper of the White House.
