In the wake of their supervisor resigning, the Maple Valley Township Board decided against appointing a supervisor and will move forward with a special election to let the people decide. In the meantime, the township board is accepting applications for an interim supervisor. Dan Boes abruptly resigned as supervisor during the township board’s April 14 meeting after the Daily News had asked him questions about why he had posted the township’s zoning administrator job.
