Cook Gymnasium was full Wednesday night as the Lakeview wrestling took on its cross-county rival in Central Montcalm. With each takedown, the crowd grew louder and more boisterous. Each win sent the entire Wildcat faithful into a frenzy — both the parents and team on the bench.
The Wildcats struggled in the lighter weight classes against the Green Hornets, but found a way to turn the dual around in the middle weights to pull out a 43-27 win in the first of a Central State Activites Association tri featuring Lakeview, CM and Grant, which had just six wrestlers.
