GREENVILLE — The Greenville Public Schools Board of Education voted unanimously during a special meeting Tuesday evening to enter into contract negotiations with Wayne Roedel as the next superintendent of the school district.

The Board’s decision came after both Roedel, superintendent of Fowlerville Community Schools, and fellow finalist Brett Zuver, superintendent of Grant Public Schools, were each interviewed for a second time in which they presented their proposed 90-day plans for the school district and answered questions from the Board.

In a phone call after the meeting, Roedel indicated to the Board he was eager and excited to begin contract negotiations.

Roedel has worked as the superintendent of Fowlerville Community Schools since 2013. Prior to that he worked as assistant superintendent for one year and high school principal for eight years, also with Fowlerville.
