MAPLE VALLEY TOWNSHIP — A Coral woman was killed Wednesday evening after she exited her vehicle and was struck by another vehicle.
The Michigan State Police responded at 10:29 p.m. to a vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash near the intersection of Coral and Gravel Ridge roads.
According to the MSP, a preliminary investigation revealed a 60-year-old Coral woman had stopped in the westbound lane.
She is believed to have exited her vehicle and was in the eastbound lane when she was struck by a vehicle driven by a 32-year-old man from the Howard City area.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Names of those involved have not been released.
The investigation is ongoing. Troopers were assisted by Montcalm EMS, the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office, the Lakeview District Fire Department and Montcalm Central Dispatch.
