Ionia sex offender sentenced to up to 15 years prison

An Ionia man was sentenced to up to 15 years prison for sex crimes involving a 13-year-old. Gabriel Lawrence White, 39, was sentenced by Ionia County Circuit Court Judge Ronald Schafer on July 22 after pleading guilty in June. White was sentenced to from four to 15 years in prison, plus $2,930 in court costs, fees, fines and restitution after his convictions for criminal sexual conduct (CSC) in the third and fourth degrees. He is also required to comply with the Sex Offender Registration Act and will be on the sex offender registration for the rest of his life as a Tier III offender.
