During its latest regular meeting on July 28, the Ionia Public Schools Board of Education voted to ask voters this November if the school district can borrow $84.5 million for improvements. The board voted to approve language that will appear on the Nov. 4 ballot asking voters to approve the bond to cover district-wide improvements totaling $86,534,746 and then allowing the district to issue general obligation unlimited tax bonds.
