After a public hearing at Wednesday’s meeting, the city’s Planning Commission approved the site plan for the construction of a new 8,400-square-foot pavilion building inside the Ionia Free Fair complex at 317 S. Dexter St. The new pavilion would be 60 feet wide, 140 feet long and 23 feet tall, and it would sit across from the grandstand and next to the Merchants Building, taking the place of the “E! Park” tent.
