Ionia Brownfield Authority updates policy

Large housing projects need to ‘demonstrate meaningful public benefits’

Members of the city of Ionia Brownfield Redevelopment Authority approved a revised policy for the administration of projects at their quarterly meeting on Monday afternoon. The city's policy was created in 2004 and has not been revised since. The state's law, Public Act 381 of 1996, has been repeatedly modified, most recently in 2020, hence the city's efforts to revise its policy.
