A group from Montcalm County is using a half million dollar state grant to transform a nondescript little building a stone's throw from the Ionia city limits into four apartments to serve as a non-congregate shelter that could help keep a few area families off the streets. Based in Greenville, Have Mercy is dedicated to ending homelessness in Montcalm and Ionia counties.
