Greenville fire crews race to four calls in under an hour

Semi truck strikes wires, ignites wildfire in Eureka Township

With four fire calls dispatched in 45 minutes, firefighters with the Greenville Department of Public Safety had their hands full responding to wires down and wildfires Monday afternoon. The department’s busy day began with a dispatch to a report of wires down on top of a semi truck at 2:41 p.m. on S. Youngman Road, south of Wise Road.
