As several manufacturers in Greenville work to expand their operations, the city has taken another step in preparing for a potential of five new arrivals in the city’s industrial park. During Tuesday’s meeting of the Greenville City Council, members voted unanimously, with Councilperson Jay Linton absent, to approve a resolution that will annex 41 acres of city-owned vacant land from Eureka Township into the city. The property, located at 6501 S. Vining Road, was purchased by the city in 2020 for $250,000 from Robbie Rohn. According to City Manager George Bosanic, Rohn had farmed the land for 20 to 25 years, but after deciding he no longer desired to continue farming it, he reached out to the city and offered the property for purchase.
