A goal of township officials to establish an additional kayak/canoe launch along the Flat River has been put on hold, with no signs of it coming to fruition anytime soon. During the Oct. 13 meeting of the Eureka Township Board, Supervisor Kristen Lower reported that efforts to establish a new launch on property located within the Flat River State Game Area would not be occurring.
