Well, the Crystal Township treasurer finally responded to my tax assessment question, but her “answer” only raised more questions. As detailed in a previous column, I asked Treasurer Nancy Johnson whether she had hired a third party to help with a new street lighting district tax assessment. Johnson declined to answer that same question from township resident Roger Martin during a special Nov. 2 township board meeting.
