The Douglass Township Board prefers to hire local businesses for projects, but two recent experiences have left a bad impression: a long-uninstalled generator and a contractor who won’t return calls. A new Generac generator has been sitting unused outside the township hall since the spring. The township board voted to spend $22,000 of federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds in November 2023 to purchase the generator from Power Concepts in Stanton.
