Sticking to their defensive strategy was just what the Central Montcalm girls basketball team needed Tuesday night. The Hornets (4-4) had every intention of getting back in the win column when they hosted Grant (3-6), following a tough couple weeks of competition against some solid top-tier teams. Though they had an impressive night offensively with nine girls in the scoring column, an electrifying 26 steals and some solid half-court defense was what put them over the edge as they defeated the Tigers, 53-41.
