The Michigan Public Services Commission this month approved Consumers Energy’s application for approval of a power purchase agreement between the utility company and the Freshwater Solar project, a 300 MW solar facility in Day Township. According to the application, the total lifetime cost of the power purchase agreement is approximately $715.7 million, with an expected levelized cost of electricity of $63.29 per megawatt-hour.
