After months of construction delays, Hale Park at the northeast corner of Division and Lincoln streets officially reopened Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The park boasts a new and improved playground, picnic pavilion, restrooms and basketball courts. “It's kind of ironic that it's Parks and Rec Month and we're cutting the ribbon today for the grand reopening of Hale Park,” noted Ionia Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Lynnelle Wilson, who then turned the ceremony over to Mayor John Milewski.
