In discussing the topic of short-term rental properties Wednesday evening, Duane Putnam made it clear who he wanted to hear from — the public. Listed as an item of discussion for the Eureka Township Planning Commission, Putnam, the chairman of the commission, opened the floor for public input as commissioners look to potentially draft ordinances that would permit but restrict the industry of short-term rentals made popular in recent years by online companies such as Airbnb and Vrbo.
