Belding City Council hears updates on wastewater plant, park projects

The Belding City Council heard updates about two major construction projects at Tuesday's meeting.
First, Fleis and VandenBrink Process Engineer Scott Hall updated the council about progress on the construction at the new wastewater treatment plant, which is located along the Flat River on Wells Road. Construction on the $37 million project began last fall, slowed down over the winter months and the plant is scheduled to become operational during the summer of 2026.
