A Montcalm County judge on Monday denied a motion for a new trial for a Stanton teenager who was convicted of second-degree murder in the shooting death of a Greenville teen.
The jury verdict came in May 2022 after Montcalm County Circuit Court Judge Suzanne Kreeger in the middle of the lengthy trial dismissed a first-degree murder charge and three counts of assault with intent to commit murder charges against Nicholas Bauer, 19, who was charged in the January 2021 death of Destini Cunliffe, 18.
