City Council members announced at their meeting on Tuesday evening that their first choice for city manager dropped out of the running after accepting another job. The City Council had previously voted 3-1 to offer the job to Ryan Madis of Flint. However, Madis decided to accept another job as city manager of Eastpointe, a surburb of Detroit.
