Sutton Schroeder of Greenville boys golf is this week’s Daily News Athlete of the Week. Schroeder, a senior, finished third at regionals at The Mines on Wednesday with a 75 to be the only golfer in the area to qualify for the MHSAA Division 2 state finals. Other nominees included Kate Hardy of Central Montcalm softball, Ashley Choponis of Central Montcalm girls track, Trevor Boyer of Greenville boys track and field and Holli Painter of Lakeview girls soccer.
