In a field of 418 runners from all over Division 3, Hoffman, a senior, won the boys race at the Portage Invitational as the only runner with a sub-16-minute race (15:53.1), beating second place by a whole 15 seconds. He also won his race at their CSAA White jamboree at Kent City on Tuesday by a whole minute and 15 seconds.

Thomas, a junior, had 33 kills, 39 digs and five aces for the Bulldogs in their 3-1 showing at the St Johns Invite over the weekend, breaking the school record for most kills in a career with 836 after her fourth kill of the day.

Paton, a senior, picked up two goals in their 3-0 win over Lakewood last Tuesday and had two goals and four assists in their 10-0 win over Olivet on Saturday.

Wernholm, a senior, led the offense with 22 carries for 135 yards and one touchdown and and chipped in on defense with six tackles for the Hornets in their 22-8 homecoming win over Morley Stanwood on Friday night.
