Grace Droste

Ionia volleyball

A senior setter, Droste racked up a season-high 58 assists in the Bulldogs’ five-set win over Lakewood last Tuesday. This is also a school record and an MHSAA record. Grace now has 2,209 career assists and has been a key part of the Bulldogs’ success this season, including a first-place finish in their home tournament on Oct. 11.

Zayne Cooper 

Central Montcalm football

Cooper, a senior quarterback, threw for 172 yards with 17-out-of-20 completed pass attempts, four touchdowns and no interceptions. He also ran for 29 yards and had three two-point conversions in the Hornets’ 46-14 win over Chippewa Hills last Friday night. Defensively, he had two tackles and one interception.

Kamryn Salladay

Lakeview girls cross country

In only her second race of the season due to injury, Salladay, a junior, earned a second-place finish at the CSAA White conference meet at Morley Stanwood last Tuesday. Running a season best time of 20:12.73, Salladay earned All Conference honors for the third year in a row.
