In the season opener against Farwell on Dec. 2, Kirvan, a senior, had 20 points, 12 rebounds, five steals and three assists in the Eagles’ 55-50 victory. That Thursday against St. Charles, Kirvan led with 31 points, 11 rebounds, nine steals, four assists and one block in the Eagles’ 58-43 win.
Evan Rolston
Central Montcalm boys basketball
On Tuesday at Ithaca, Rolston, a senior, led the Hornets with 28 points. He also had 25 points in their victory over Morley Stanwood on Dec. 5, leading his team to a 2-0 start to the season.

VanTimmeren, a junior, went 6-0 through their first two meets of the season, accumulating five pins so far this season between the 165- and 175-pound weight classes.
Jonah Hummel

Hummel, a senior, had 21 points and six rebounds for the Black Knights in their season opening win over Lakewood on Dec. 2.
Olivia Fancett
Greenville girls basketball
Fancett, a junior, led the Jackets to a commanding win over Belding Friday night with 16 points, four rebounds and two assists. She also recorded 10 points for the Jackets in their win over Northview last Tuesday.
Taylor Tuinhoff
Central Montcalm girls basketball
Leading the Hornets to a 2-0 start to the season, Tuinhoff, a freshman, had game-high point totals in both wins last week against Ithaca and Lakeview with 17 points on Tuesday and 22 points on Friday.
