Ava Johnson of Lakeview girls track is this week’s Daily News Athlete of the Week. Johnson, a sophomore, won the CSAA White championships in the 100-meter dash (13.48), the 100- (16.15) and 300-meter hurdles (49.89). Other nominees were Emily Rice of Greenville softball, Gage Hoffman of Central Montcalm boys track and Megan Beetley of Vestaburg softball.
