The Hornets (9-10) were looking to right themselves and get back in the win column after a pair of losses to conference giant Morley Stanwood on Wednesday and Beal City, currently ranked No. 2 in Division 4, over the weekend. For an entertaining evening of high school softball, they went head-to-head with Vestaburg (15-3) in what turned out to be a high-scoring affair by the end of the night.
