A total of 51 people participated in the 10th annual Bramble Ramble 5K Trail Run/Walk and 7th Annual Mike Seaman Memorial 10K Run on Sept. 20 on the Kenneth J. SIDNEY — A total of 51 people participated in the Montcalm Community College Nature Tails Committee’s 10th annual Bramble Ramble 5K Trail Run/Walk and 7th Annual Mike Seaman Memorial 10K Run on Sept. 20 on the Kenneth J. Lehman Nature Tails on MCC’s Sidney campus. This marked the highest participation total for the event in its history.
The trails offer more than four miles of paths marked with numbered posts and maps which are available at most major trail heads. The course was a mix of flat, wide trails and narrow, wooded hills; pavement; and open fields.
The Mike Seaman Memorial 10K run is in memory of the MCC Social Science instructor, who died in 2017 due to injuries sustained in a bicycling accident. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed bicycling, skiing and running, and who often enjoyed spending time on the Kenneth J. Lehman Nature Trails.
