After months of work performed on the township’s budget, with officials sorting through expenditures and sources of revenue, Brian Blomstrom was able to smile as he gave a budget report he has been waiting nearly seven months to deliver — one with accurate numbers.
Since his first meeting in June as township supervisor, appointed to the position following the resignation of former supervisor Doug Crowley, Blomstrom has repeatedly emphasized to the public that the township had much work to do in addressing budget concerns outlined by its auditor and the Michigan Department of Treasury.
