Montcalm Prevention Collaborative continues work toward creating a healthier community

Montcalm Prevention Collaborative and Montcalm Area Intermediate School District team up for youth

The Montcalm Prevention Collaborative (MPC) whose primary mission is to reduce youth substance use throughout Montcalm County is delighted to announce the Montcalm Area Intermediate School District (MAISD) has received a Federal Drug Free Communities grant on its behalf.

The grant provides $125,000 running through Sept. 29. Additional funding of $125,000 annually will expire in 2025. At the end of five years, the MPC and MAISD will have an opportunity to extend the grant for a subsequent five years for a total of 10 years.  This amounts to approximately $1,250,000 that will be coming back to our communities.
