After running, and winning, the 400-meters, 800-meters and 1,600-meters at the Jackets’ head-to-head meet against Lowell on May 6, Titus Bretzke was admittedly a bit winded.
The Greenville senior still wanted to run the 800, his signature event, at Saturday’s Red Hawk Invitational at Cedar Springs and did so in nearly-record fashion. His time of 1:52.87 was just shy of his personal record (PR) time of 1:52.56, which placed him third in the state finals as a sophomore.
