Junkies. Crackheads. Drug addicts. The language a community uses to talk about individuals who are battling substance use can create barriers in their reaching out to ask for help.
That’s the message behind an anti-stigma campaign called “Chances Are … You Know Someone,” launched earlier this month by the Ionia County Substance Abuse Initiative (ICSAI).
