A Stanton woman with convictions for animal cruelty and overcharging customers at the restaurant where she worked was sent back to jail after failing to complete her term of probation.
Rebecka Sue Moore, 34, was convicted and sentenced for a probation violation on Dec. 1 by Montcalm County Circuit Court Judge Suzanne Kreeger. The judge sentenced her to 220 days jail with credit for 141 days previously served, meaning Moore must now serve the remaining 79 days of her jail sentence.
A Belding woman will spend from eight months to four years with the Michigan Department of Corrections because she contacted her victim in a gun case a total of 85 times, after the judge explicitly ordered her not to.
Stephanie Ruth Johnston, 20, pleaded guilty Oct. 5 to a probation violation. She appeared for sentencing before Ionia County Circuit Court Judge Ronald Schafer by Polycom from the Ionia County Jail.
A Belding woman who was sentenced in Ionia County Circuit Court earlier this month was back before the judge two weeks later for allegedly violating the terms of her probation.

After telling a young woman it was “heartbreaking” to see her choose to go back to using drugs, an Ionia County judge sentenced her to a year in jail for violating probation.
Elizabeth Elaine Raymond, 36, of Easton Township appeared before Judge Suzanne Kreeger in the Ionia County Circuit Court on June 22 via Zoom from the Kent County Jail.
